65048 Retention Rod
The 65048 retention rod is a small plastic filament with a big responsibility. It is designed to fit AAA176HF7 assemblies and 66116 PV housings, which are often used in elevator backplane assemblies. The retention rod keeps circuit guards in place, protecting elevator control equipment.
Every time an elevator that uses the 65048 retention rod is serviced, the retention rod is broken and replaced. Major elevator manufacturers such as Otis use this model of retention rod in their backplane assemblies, which means that quite a few 65048 retention rods are consumed during the course of any year.
ISSC-Kanson Electronics has been making the 65048 retention rod, the AAA1766HF7 assembly, and the 66116 housing for over three decades. During that time, we've supplied Berg Electronics, DuPont Connectors, and, most recently, FCI. All of the retention rods we manufacture are RoHS compliant and lead-free.
