Inductive Proximity Switches

Kanson ISSC Inductive Proximity Sensors are used to detect metal objects and carbon through the principle of electromagnetism. Inductive Proximity Sensors operate using a coil and high frequency oscillator to create an electromagnetic field. The presence of metal produces a measurable change in the switch's oscillation amplitude, thus changing the output of the sensor.

Inductive Proximity Sensor Applications

Inductive proximity switches are commonly used in speed sensors, limit switches, and distance measuring devices. Application examples include car washes, traffic lights and metal detectors.
 

Enclosure Options

Inductive proximity switches vary depending on the size, shape and material being measured. Kanson ISSC Inductive sensors are available in impermeable plastic housings or stainless steel enclosures.
